Product description
This Japanese substrate is a specially selected growing medium designed primarily for bonsai, orchids, satsuki azaleas, and other acid-loving plants. The particles are carefully sieved in Japan to ensure a uniform size, making the substrate ready to use directly from the bag.
Why is this substrate good?
Excellent Drainage
The small granular structure allows excess water to drain quickly, preventing root rot and improving root health.
High Aeration
The porous particles provide plenty of oxygen around the roots, encouraging strong and compact root development.
Moisture Retention
Although it drains well, the substrate can still retain enough moisture to keep plants hydrated between waterings.
Stable Structure
Unlike ordinary potting soil, the particles maintain their shape for a long time and do not easily compact, ensuring a healthy root environment.
